Have to agree about orange... I think these are as close to specie as you can get. they grow hard up against the foundation and intermixed with saponaria! They only bloom in July and are just foliage the rest of the season, which is good if you have acres and acres to deal with. In a smaller garden I could see them ripped out. I like the smaller, ever blooming, Stella de Oro. They're a yellow which is not to everyones' taste as well. The lemon lilies are earlier (mid-June to mid-July), have a delightful aroma and are a brilliant, beautiful yellow.. They're my favourite hemerocallis.
