Little Hoya in bloom.

Little Hoya in bloom.

No real ID for it. My guess is H.longifolia. This a little jewel that I have had since 2002. The blooms though are more like garlic then sweet. Maybe I washed off the scent? It was just watered when I took the photo.

These are very sweet flowers. Love the plant. Used to have it but not anymore.

I'm going to have to some editing Klahanie as I was told its H.shepherdii. I was also told to take a whiff after sunset.
I did. I can tell you its a stretch to call it Chocolate as the internet does-ha.
But its for sure not yet another Jasmine type scent.
It could be a hybrid too that's called Minibelle. Since the wild H,shepherdii is said to reach 40' lengths..my petite plant seems plenty minibelle.
I will never know. Hayward is not the hot and tropical India its native to. Perhaps even Minibelle is not when grown in the tropics.
