South American bromeliad, hardy in the milder parts of the UK given really sharp drainage, especially in winter. Survived the 2010/11 winter (just) but took a couple of years to recover.

Some of mine have a slight colour change....well at least somethings are early..most things in my garden have been late this year..but better late than never..

Ours is back in a pot for the moment...... waiting for it to start colouring up.......no sign at the moment!!
