Time to trim back the Siberian Iris

Where's the rocket, underneath there? Aren't they hostas?

those dentated leaves are the ligularia. it's flower stems are usually about 3 ft. tall with bright yellow flowers..(hence rocket). This is a divided clump from last season and it's poking along. I have to cut back the iris to give it some room.

Hmm they're deemed good hosta companion plants! That's where the hostas came in, sorry for confusion.
