Annual Poppy & White Yarrow

Lovely together. I like the poppy seedheads, it's always a gamble to cut off the seed heads to keep the flowers coming but knowing when to stop taking them off to have enough left for seeds.

have found that if I deadhead the last blossoms aren't very large and the pods smaller...ergo fewer seeds. I counted ten blossoms on one plant... it is the one beside the grape arbour... all by itself and happy as a clam. I can only claim credit for having planted it's ancestor. will have to post a pic.

I'm in experimental mode with all my different poppies this year.
