Had a look, still not sure, some of the pictures are more cream on the edge than this one, it is a pale green rather than cream edge with a dark green/blue middle.

In mickfield Hostas catalogue it is described as 'chartreuse'. Which I think is accurate. A lot of the photos on Google will be incorrect IDs.

yes a lot of them are so different from the one I have, and all named as Frances Williams, will have a look at Mickfield Hostas thanks Karen.

Yes, and if you go to the alphabetical list and look for FW, it offers two alternatives as well, so it might be either of them, but I didn't check their flower colour. You will recognise it if it's the right one. It's always easier to recognise your own plant than one in a photo.

that is a brilliant website, yep think you are right it is definitely the one, looking at their photos and the flower colour is correct too. :O) and it is a sport of H.Elegans and the one that developed from the seed I grew looks like Elegans so I am convinced now it is as you say Frances Williams - thanks for the link and id :O)

Great, glad you recognised it. It is the best website I've found for Hostas. :)
