Poor you, when I 1st looked at this photo thought it looked bit sorry for itself then looked at your next photo which you explained your lack of rain. Must be hard seeing your plants getting so dry.

Hope the weather changes for you Lori...We complain all the time 'cause it never seems to stop raining...

It is a bit of a problem, Jen! Overnight, last night, we were supposed to receive almost 10 mm of rain... it never materialized. Today the clouds rolled in and kept on rolling...not a drop for us. Folks east of us had a good soaking. Home by 3 pm and it looked like rain... nope! This evening it became a misty rain which hardly wet the decking at the backdoor... I'm frazzled. Worried about using too much water as we are on a well. Wish we could share all your lovely moisture Moti!

When we were house hunting last year, saw a few with only well water supplies, you make me so glad we didn't chose one of those. When I lived down in Kent every summer there was a use of hose pipe ban. We had rain water butts everywhere but it still wasn't enough to last us. Hope you get rain soon.

Wells do have their positive aspects but as time goes by and more people are hooked up to the various systems fewer people have come to rely on the ultimate source..(the water table) for their supply. Here in Canada we have a huge percentage of the world's fresh water and there are international companies pumping it out of the ground at an alarming rate and bottling it...and here we are worrying about having a bath! We had some rain over the weekend and my water butts are full again. My garden once again has weeds growing in it...You know for sure that you have a problem when even the weeds don't grow!

Glad you had some rain, as you say the world is mad sometimes but then companies just worried about the buck, not the water table. Can understand Canada having more well just by the size of it compared to uk. Here it is rare. Our nearest town is only 4 to 5 miles away and we are considered rural.

A visit to the "old country" is on my Bucket List, Jen. I hope to see the "rural" parts as well as the towns... my family came to Canada from Middlesex/ East Sussex in the 1860's. Would love to see it with eyes older than my own! My Grandad always spoke of "over 'ome" but he was first generation Canadian!

I was born in Kent but at the age of 3 went abroad, changing countries about every 2 years but never made it to Canada or USA. when I was 10 I was sent back to bording school and then spent holidays in whatever country my parents were in. When I met hubby 12 years ago I moved to just outside Tunbridge Wells which is just on the border of East Sussex so spent many happy hours in Hastings and Eastbourne and Brighton but we moved as it is changing so much. Very busy and I'm a country girl at heart. Shropshire alot more rural.
