I'm so thankful it's getting going... but it's Sept. already. Where has the summer gone. It's still very dry and I've been using that as an opportunity to work on the little stream... been cutting trees! Hope the warm weather lasts until the end of October. How are things at Coreside now? Any prize marrows this year?

There is one huge marrow Lori...we missed the show though...it was the same day as the wedding...just hoping it keeps till Halloween now. You work so hard on your stream...don't know how u move those boulders... We have had some lovely weather this week but it's pouring down now. I just watched the farmer next door getting his hay in just in time. Never seen them move so fast!!

you carve them like pumpkins, right? I think I saw a blog last year?
secret to moving the boulders? lever and fulcrum and an inclined plane and stubbornness. LOL! any way at all to beat inertia! have to be quick with the hands when placing rocks though... when I was working, I pinched three fingers on my right hand...and it's very painful.
This years hay should be pretty good... it's been able to dry really well... second crop, right?

Hope u didn't damage your fingers much....it's amazing what stubbornness can achieve...
