This is topical Motty ... I have just been looking at the potted Fuchsias and my Tom West has brown mottled leaves and all the buds have shrivelled ... not sure what to do with him now! Maybe give him a harsh haircut?

It sounds like Fuchsia Rust Shirley....It can spread to other Fuchias, so keep the diseased ones separate.....Are the leaves dropping? pick them all off anyway...If the plants are outside this is the time of year for rust....indoors, anytime....You could try spraying with a fungus spray?..:>)

That's a shame Shirley......I didn't realise Fuchsia's got rust, you live and learn...... thanks Motty for that info..

Thanks Motty, I have picked off all the yellow/orange marked leaves from this Fuchsia, then noticed a F. magellanica Riccartoniia (in a pot) also looks infected.

I think I shall have to move the pots well away from any others and see how they grow. None of my Fuchsias have suffered like this before.

Thats a shame......If you spray them perhaps they would be ok next year??
