Youre gonna have to sit very still for hours and hours to find out Lori! Lol :)

LOL... now that you mention it, Amy!
It's too cold to sit still for too long, Karen. They come in the middle of the night and have eaten the kale that I left in the garden down to the nubs! Winter and it's effects on wildlife makes me cringe. poor creatures. survival of the fittest.

Its a miracle that anything survives isn't it Lori. I can never get over how the tiny little birds survive here.

Looks like a duck.
In Sweden the elks had a garden party eating the apples that had fallen to the ground at my sons' house. Wish I had been there.

That would be something to see Linda!

oh yes...that would be worth sharing, Linda. There are no elk in this part of Canada anymore. They migrate north to south across the western part of the country...we have moose or deer. Local rumour has it that there is a young moose in the area and I was wondering if this track might be his/hers. Sorry about the poor quality of the photo, amusingly it leads to many happy interpretations!
every year my apples and crabapples are pruned by the deer... I just pay the taxes the animals get the use of it! ;-)
