you can see how these shrubs have grown. They will need some restorative pruning once the soil dries enough for me to get on this bit of the garden.

Oh yes, what a lovely big Mahonia. it will benefit from a prune though...It should get a bit more bushy.

its meant to be a standard but has developed several stems. I didn't want a busy one :o)

this bit of garden wont be dry enough until March so the mahonia is safe until then haha.

Actually Lionel is near 14 ft, definitely needs a trim. and underneath him there are a lot of last years foliage to clear away.
