Now this is not an easy one!! needs some shelter,I am hoping ours has made it through the worst of the weather....

when you say shelter is it ok with shelter from shrubs/trees or does it need it more substantial? OH said bet it needs to be in a cave mouth haha.

Ha ha.......ours is really tucked away under some shrubs, but is does not look good.......might be too wet!

I will take some further advice from the lady who grew it. then I will let you know dd.

Please do, as it is a particularly lovely and unusual fern, all the information says tender!

Several nurseries suggest hardy to -5 others say it may survive short periods down to -5.
Shady full or deep reliably moist.

I might find a decorative pot for it so I can shift it into the greenhouse in the winter. However that sort of defeats the object of it being evergreen.
