Eranthis under the beech tree (Eranthis hyemalis (Winter aconite))

several nice clumps now. this is where I had dug up 'odd' tubers/corms that I now know to be these sunny beauties.

They seem to be slow this year Karen. Mine are only gradually appearing now.

Ok, thanks Andrew. Miserable here today, and freezing cold as well. No wonder the bulbs are slow!

Each clump from one original corm? Good increase. Talking of ODD corms, buying a pkt of Liatris recently, I was surprised they are not from root stocks.

they self seed originally I bought 2 pots in flower. the croms are usually too dried out to actually grow.
yes liatris is a corm but they are very hit and miss in my garden. I love them too.

As you say Eranthis and Snowdrops better to establish ' in the green'.

I can vouch for this supplier for bulbs in the green: https://eurobulbs.co.uk/
