it takes seven years to flower from seed, Tpb. It establishes itself best in acidic, humus rich soil with lots of spring moisture. the three leaves are food factories for long underground rhizomes. It is best left totally undisturbed, so if it's in a bed where you routinely lift and replant that could be part of it's discontent. Good luck, stay with it.

The white trillium is the provincial flower emblem of Ontario. it is one of the first spring wildflowers and emerges from the leaf litter with the first warm sunshine...they are done by the time the trees are in full leaf. In a garden they may present some challenges because they don't like to be disturbed. If you have a quiet corner in a hardwood forest they will establish in about 7 years and produce beautifully.
