'Dancing Chevrons'

'Dancing Chevrons'

This has the same pollen parent as 'Free Wheelin'' (TET converted 'Marked by Lydia'); but is 2 " larger across. Through the use of the highly cargcinogenic Colchicne (which is made from crocuses); it is possible to change a Diploid daylily into a Tetraploid. While eating daylilies is possible, you may want to pass on those with converted genes. The purpose is to get bigger flowers or to be able to use the patterns found in Dips.

I knew a genetic researcher who worked with Oxalis species because they were tetraploids..or was it more?

The cost of a converted TET is enormous. I was looking at a site that had one for €400. The DIP original was €30.
