Mine is out now, and a decent size at last. Does anyone know whether this is easy to split?

I expect it makes plenty of seed

I was just thinking, that's a good size clump. Mine will hopefully look like this next year.

Thanks Amy..yes, it does make a lot of seed.

Seed in pea pods? That will be good.

yes, papery thin ones that go dark red when ripe. Nice actually...very attractive on the plant after the flowers. Last year I cut mine off eventually and binned them.

I won't cut mine if they pod up. Well not all of them.

Sue the pods look like twisted corkscrews the seeds shoot out as the pod twists ...

Thanks for that info, Amy. I will look out for developing pods, then enclose in a mesh.

Good idea if not you will find your plant covered in little twisted empty pods :o))

They must need heat. I left mine n for months last year and got neither twisting nor popping!
