I am going to dig these out of the front garden border because they look awful for most of the year. I love the flowers but the leaves never look good.

I got rid of my Bergenia, because I couldn't stand the over large leaves any more in my undersize garden

I know what you mean HB. I feel the same about Alliums.

I think they probably take up too much room as well. Lovely when in flower tho'. I don't have any as I have limited space also.

Mine look very straggly, haven't grown much, and have given a very poor show of flowers, they are in a shaded area but it is quite damp. I was wondering about transplanting them to the drier side of the garden, under a buddleia shrub, in the autumn? If they don't improve, then I will also get rd of them.

Ours are still untouched at the moment, you can cut the leaves down, and new ones will grow back.....
