Strange how we find plants growing we did nt plant my culprit was my mum. It is nice to see a white Tulip.

yep strange of all the tulips i have only one white one?

Tulips dont spread like Daffodils.

They might in America because of your weather only if left in the ground but here most people dig them out to replant the following year which prevents them multiplying. I leave mine in even if they dont come back the following years.

yes i leave them in, they seem to be ok, and come back. maybe lose a couple, that were not deep in soil enough, i usually mulch a lot in fall which helps

Yes it stop s the frost drying the ground out mulching . I ve always had gravel stones placed under my Tulip befor planting for drainage.

i stock up buying broken bags from the nursery all summer then use them in the fall

Thats a good idea I shall try this as recently I watched an old garden program here no dig method they just spread mulch over the ground which stops weeds also it does nt distroy the soil structure.

yes , i have very few weeds in my gardens with using the mulch , now the lawn is a different story LOL.

yep my back lawn needs mowing but it has been so wet, and now it is cool and windy, do not think it is going to be a good summer

When I use to have an allotment we start planting veg in April any thing really tender went in an out side cold frame.

i am going to plant tomorrow! also am going to cover it with clear plastic at night to keep them warm, i have a raised bed.
