Amsonia ciliata - 2017

I don't know why this plant is so rarely seen in gardens. Makes a clump two to three feet tall and a couple of feet across, grows in moist, heavy or stoney soil in sun or part shade. Here it is growing solid clay and we have barely had any rain for six weeks, yet it looks fresh and happy.
