Such a huge clump of Jane Philips.

Jane Philips grow too well. Because of that, the iris from my parents, which I promised you to give you, was overwhelmed by Jane Philips and it seems it disappeared. Terrible!

Jane Philips is a survivor. You did give me a piece of the pinky yellow. Thank you for you effects and generosity but she was not to be.

Really? I can't remember I've sent you one.
Me, dementia? LOL

You did say that your clump had smelly neck rot. It was obviously a really old variety prone to that.

Oh, that one. Mine I think is all gone, perhaps. I'm talking about a different one. I can't remember the colour but I think it was maroon/yellow/purple or something, re-blooming iris.

By the way, irises given by you didn't flower this year, maybe I should move them somewhere, maybe in the new iris bed on the hill, not next to Jane Philips.

Sometimes moving them sets them back a year in flowering, also full open sun if possible. If a clump is so congested it stops flowering, definitely divide and discard the spent rhizomes in the centre.

Last year I wasn't here when the irises were up, so I don't know if yours flowered last year but I think they didn't. The place is not congested, therefore, maybe I should leave them there one more year.
