For Siris

For Siris (Gladiolus communis subsp byzantinus)

Just to prove I grow more than two gladiolus communis ssp byzantinus. This is a small bed beside the front door, dominated by a hibiscus.

I would not doubt you have millions, but they look well contained.

I have another small clump (under a weigela) elsewhere in the garden, but this grouping is the larger one. There is also gladiolus tristis here, plus allium atropurpureum. Later, a purple sage will dominate.

The byzantinus do tend to go walk about. I start mine tight to the bungalow but they have search out all choice spots. Good idea the sage, tough enough to compete in dry position. And the Erigeron.

I like these I had some but haven't seen them this year ...

They seem to make small daughter corms, which can take time to reach flowering size. Look for tiny sword shaped leaves, Amy.
