This variety survived outside minus 7 in 2012/13

While the varieties aren't found here, Z. aethiopica grows on all the islands in the Azores, mostly along dry stream beds and pastures. I'm sure the cows enjoy them, although they don't eat them.

I love the contrast of the flowers against a dark background. I have never had to replace my Zantedeschia, although once or twice it has taken a year or two to regain its full glory, after a bad winter.
