I was really surprised at the sheen and colour in these little fellows.

Hi Hazel, I thought they looked slightly metallic too - it's not my camera playing tricks. It was growing outdoors at RHS Wisley, just outside the M25. I don't know what the soil is like at Wisley (better than mine I'd guess), but it seems fine in the British climate.

I love the colour combination,and the almost metallic sheen. Truly gorgeous! Never seen this plant before- I wonder what growing conditions it needs...
