Nice ,for some reason they will not grow in my garden

It depends Brian which ones you buy I think the original or hybreds the original ones like fine soil and dapple shade ages ago I read they like poor soils as they are hedgerow plants where the hybreds are not as succesful and I read they like damp they have a bigger bell .

Mine are planted by the side of the path in shade down the side of my house.

If you want one that flowers more than once it is Digitallis x mertonensis it is a cross bred.

Thrupennybit that interesting might be worth my while looking out for that one

I love them too and like Brian, I can't seem to get them to like my garden... even tried seeding in the bush..but so far, it seems I've had no luck. will look up the mertonensis...thanks for that.
