The flowers are so large and heavy, I am surprised it has stood up to the awful wind and rain so far..

I think this is a Clematis, Siris...but eitehrway, isn't it lovely?
Wind dropped a bit here at last, but now more pouring rain. :((

Lol its because your typing to quick for the device your on may be . It use to do the same to me on my pc when I first joined here as years ago I was a touch typist for an engineering company also an electrical company on the old typewriters so going to an electric key board I can go faster and it cant take the speed my grandson said. .

Thanks Waddy, now I've put my specs on and enlarged the photo, you are right it is a Clematis. Homebird, maybe Jackmanii Alba, which is double, always tatty first flowers, irrespective of any rain, white with blueish and greenish tinged sometimes. Single flowers later in the season, much nicer.
