Wood Pigeon on the WaterLily Tub.

The birds love the Dwarf WaterLily Tub and have taken it over as a drinking station.
The pigeons are still trying to get onto the bird table for food. I blocked big bird access, but they try daily without success, sliding down the roof, before giving up. Dim-witted birds.

We had a pair of Collared Dove, which nested in our Cratagus tree before we removed it. That was about 6 years ago, then the Wood Pigeons appeared and we've never seen the Doves since.

Similar thing happened here Siris ... we regularly saw a pair of Collared Doves before any Wood Pigeons came in to the garden. Not seen the Doves for years ... :o(

Ravens, Gg, what wonderfully glossy huge birds.
I suppose Pigeons are preferable to Gulls, 3pb.
Shame, isn't it Shirley, that the Collards have gone, such lovey dovey pairs of birds.

Pigeons are a menace in our garden they use to fly off when I clapped my hands but they've become so use to me that they totally ignore me now ...

Yes indeed Siris ... they always seem such a docile breed!

I do have wood pigeons trying to come into the garden but the resident pair of Ravens chase them out and very nastily at times ..... But they leave the collared doves alone.
