Thanks Hb and Tpb! This is a clump that I moved farther down the stream, I'm surprised that they have as many blooms as this. They needed rejuvenation as the flowers are smaller than they were in previous years. The colour remains good though.

Yes, indeed. And look at that pristine clear stream too! I am ever so envious of that! :)

I'm glad it's still flowing, Karen. Every year at this time the farmer, who has been slowly removing the tall hardwood trees to make a pasture for his goats, brings in a bulldozer and rearranges the stream banks! So far, and I'm touching wood, he has not shown any interest in the field so I'm hoping he's letting it go to grass... my stream gets so clogged with detritus and silt from his endeavours.

Farmers eh?

I try not to be upset by it... not much I can do, really. Someday we'll meet up at a community function and I'll ask some pertinent questions. Each summer has been different so far..and it's hard to believe I've been working at this for seven years! (next Dec.31st.) Farmer has gone from cows to pigs to goats! lol... I wouldn't mind some goats. ;-)
