That's great Bathgate we don't have a Stop & Shop here perhaps on line may be .

Woolworth is still on line here to buy things its now called Very but I have nt seen plants on it .

Thank you Gnarly gnome yes when I bought this there was nt any garden centres here nor the net to buy from lol showing my age now ha ha my mum would check all the plants to see if they were dead before buying as they were in plastic packaging she would snap them if they snapped they were dead lol.

My mum was always coming home with a stick in a clear plastic bad with a bit of cardboard on the top lol

If it wasnt for woolies most garden would of been empty of plants

I remember Woolworths for their turkey club sandwhiches, rootbeer floats & lots of candy.

yes, Woolworth is long gone, but the iconic Woolworth Building still stands across the street from City Hall.

That is such a shame they have closed there to but lovely to hear the Woolworth building still stands does it still sell things or is it empty . It goes under the name Very now on the net.

The building is known as the Woolworth Building and were once the executive offices. It's registered as a National Historic Landmark Building. Now it's used by New York University and Luxury apartments.

That is great they have kept it as a National Historic Landmark Building at least they preserve their historic buildings and history that is lovely to know and is still in use not left to rot.
