Thats a good tip Gnarly, regarding trimming! :) Beautiful photo too. I do love some conifers...and this is one of them. A lot of them I really detest, and a few i really love! :)

Thanks Karen
its a cracker of a variety , I know the neighbors must be thinking what he doing with those scissors lol but its the best time to do it before they harden up.
its covered in tiny white lights over December its a bit early to mention that other word.

How tall is it Gnarly and how wide?
17 Jun, 2017
its about 7 feet high and I think roughly as I would have to measure about 8 feet across at the base but I would need to check , its been in that spot for 14 years ... and lightly pruned all over every year so its very tight ...
I may have a photo on from last year were you can see a better shot of it I will have a nose ....
Have you got one Karen ? , two varieties for the garden the better form which is not this one is hard to get hold off I will remember the name later as the needles turn the opposite way gives it a more silver look.

I do..a baby one, but mine is the ordinary one. I tried to get the other one for my last garden, but no luck.

Oh, now I'm not keen on that tbh...silver show is nicer. I always think that if the needles are curled it makes the plant look like it has a disease. But anyway, I have the ordinary green one, and that's fine. :)
