When washing up tonight, looked out window and saw this. I had said it had a lot of flowers this year. :-(

Thanks Karen. Left washing up half done. Cut snapped branch off. Then cut all flowers off and put in vase. Glad you managed to get to yours in time. ?

Oh dear !
You can use it as a cutting, and then you'll have two :o)

Oh what a shame, still it's an ill wind...at least you got a lovely vase full of flowers and the bush might just benefit and give you a thicker, healthy plant :0)

Thanks Waddy, to be honest, when I pruned it this spring, I don't think I did it hard enough. I had never pruned a Rose before, like I said, they had never been my thing.till now :-). Back in Kent I only had a yellow climber that I left to it's own devices and some low cover, really vicious ones called "Magic Carpet". I planted these as they where covered in flowers and lots and lots of thorns. Someone in my old village used to at night, go along our road and pull out plants in peoples front garden. Funny, my "Magic Carpet" never got pulled. :-)

It look s a beautiful Rose to so I ticked like for that reason I place an obelisk over my tall roses.

We had similar yesterday...and it was also a white rose. My standard Margaret Merril. It hadn't actually smapped, so OH has tied it up. But the great thing about roses is they just get better with pruning, so no need to despair.
