the babys have grown

Those geese have become a pest in places inUK now and wardens on reserves sometimes go round doing something (I don't know what) t the eggs to prevent them hatching.
I never knew this until I helped as an asistant warden at our local Wildlife Trust.

to me they are not a pest! one of Gods beautiful creatures

they use a very sharp needle and pierce the shell but not to break it, the birds carry on sitting thinking everything is normal but the eggs wont hatch and normally its too late in the season for them to re nest and lay a new clutch.
