Salvia guaranitica

I've posted a photo of this before when it was still unidentified. Thanks to the t'interweb several experts have looked at a bunch of photos of the whole plant and the answer appears to be that it is the true species Salvia guaranitica.
Salvia guaranitica probably sounds familiar because of the cultivars "Black and Blue" and more recently "Black and Bloom".
