I think it's a young doe with a fawn. Have found a deer bed in the long grass/hay in the "meadow". will have to check out the hosta by the stream...she may have found those too!

I have many hostas... as long as she leaves my fave (Patriot) alone I'm alright with it... so far so good! :-) She seems to like the blues... that was Blue Boy she pruned.

Perhaps it does, 3d! I've had both for a few years now and this is the first time a deer has munched on them. The only Patriot plant that is near the area they frequent is beside the stream and very near the road. It has purple flowers so it may taste different!
