I moved mine from the shady side of the porch to an area where it gets afternoon sun... it's hemmed in by polypodia and hosta and grape ivy. Snug. It appears quite happy and is spreading regardless of the crowd. Mine won't bloom for another week, probably.

mine are in flower and are marching through the border. I had a white one but it didn't do well. in fact not sure where it is.

I love them. We call them snake heads or dragon heads. A great plant for mass plantings.
