Lives in complete luxury in the SW facing corner of the dining room. Going in the Flower and Horticultural Autumn Show in the morning- Class 33 = "Specimen foliage plant in pot, can be in flower , pot not to exceed 8". The plant exceeds 24" !!

I think there were 5? It will be interesting to see how many the plant yields when it goes sleepy and needs sorting out again.

It was awarded 2nd in class. beaten by a non flowering Geranium...:-(

my two are slowly winding down now
I am going to have a go at showing delphiniums next year I had a look what varieties are best and managed to get my hands on some ...

I cant get that going. Twice, with the first try a quick death and the second? Every spring it sends a paltry 4-5 leaves..and those fade as summer goes into warmth.
I don't know whats missing. I did see a photo of it thriving in San Diego in part shade with much water. Shocking!

Mine does better indoors as a house plant . Life outdoors is harder as the temp. goes up and down, too much rain, a cold spell and the WIND !!Aaaagh.
