Voles have found the courgettes :-(.

Oh no!! Are you managing to keep your temper in check?

Lol, I did call out a pest control company. His advert had a list of all the pests you can think of but no voles. Bless him, he still came out. Told me more or less what I had read. Nothing I can do till maybe the winter as what with all the plums, apples and damsons and of course my courgettes and tomatoes, there is too much food around in my garden so they are not going near the trap. Hubby has said I've become obsessed but then he is no gardener.

Oh dear :( I hope they left some alone ...

Luckily Hywel, they have only just found them and I managed to get 2 courgettes yesterday for my Sunday lunch but I don't think I will get anymore.:-(

That's a shame ... but good that you found those two before the voles got them :)

Lol, really enjoyed them. There are a couple more growing and just hoping they get big enough to pick before they are attacked :-).

I do hope winter sees them off for you Jen.

Thanks Waddy, when I went out yesterday, they had attacked even the very small courgettes so going to clear them away, when there is a break in weather today. :-(.

Lol, got lots of those in the workshop, and rifles. Think my neighbours might complain. :-) Don't know if you knew but our business is Gunsmiths.

I wonder if cidar vinegar will work as it does with rabbits by soaking rags with cidar vinegar on putting them around your garden . There I ve solved Monty Doms problem to with his rabbit invasion whos going to tell him lol.

It's worth a try. Have tried jeyes on cloths down the holes but they just dig around!! ?
