Thank you 3p , I saw it in the garden center two weeks ago and I popped in again and it was still waiting for me lol ...
should work well where I have planted it next to the ferns and hosta as each other brings the colour out more ...

We have this Andy it splits up very easily into dozens of plants ,this last week we made a tray full of plants ... it produces a spray of little white flowers ...

Is it slightly tender ?... all of my garden is well drained but do you think a bark mulch over winter may help ?

are you sure as funny enough Persicaria "Painter’s Palette" has done the same thing... go and have a google at that one ... its only a small plant I will put a photo on when I have planted it ...

It is hardy Andy ,well it is in our garden ,the frost will take it down it will then sprout up again next spring .. ..

I HAVE THIS IN THE COMMUNAL GARDEN IN A FEW PLACES. CAN BE EASILY ROOTED IN WATER FROM CUTTINGS IN MID SUMMER GG

All my Persicaria are hardy, but die down over winter. Be aware Red Dragon can get huge, mine about 5 ft now. I am lazy and don't chop it during the season although I know most folks keep theirs trimmed.

My Painters is the smallest of the varieties I have, and the weakest, although Dotty says hers self seeds.
