Are houseleeks safe to leave out all winter or do they need to be covered to stop too much wet on them? Thanks

I put mine in a shelter to keep dry, but the ones on the wall are all right because it drains quickly.

We must get generally drier winters because I've never lost any to wet.

YOu are in a frost pocket Dawn.

Yes and what a nuisance it is, we had a light grass frost last week, sigh. I've come to realise the cold wet clay kills some plants rather than the frost, worst combination here, cold, wet and soil that isn't free draining, I lost A Indian summer, need another and will ensure it's planted in a dry warmer spot.

I think I will have to. I wonder if a plastic, ventilated cloche would work.
