A climber Dottydaisy even my shrubs Roses I cut right down so I thought last year I would try it with the climber its about the same height as yours in this photo .

I took the risk last year as it was getting so bad it was growing off the old wood then this year new shoots came from the bottom of mine Dottydaisy and now is as tall as it was prior to cutting it right back but with no disease.
