Having such a limited knowledge of plants (growing since joined GOY) I had never seen these before. I bought a 'chocoholic' actaea this year as I loved the colour of the foliage but I don't think the flowers on it are as impressive as yours. As it was it's 1st year then maybe it will improve next year. The Azalea 'Hotspur Red' that I also got this year, leaves turn the same dark colour in autumn and with is planted next to the chocoholic, I'm pleased with the effect.

Jen when I have divided them the flowers have not been special in the first year, take a little while to settle.
this one would probably look good in a bed with a dark leaved pink one, but here I am by no means sure they would flower at the same time.
