The pond area all wintery..

Net is on. The water hawthorn is growing nicely. The net will be coming off the minute that all of JT plants have shed their foliage.

☺ yes Acer leaves are not as bad as tgeir leaves quickly rot down I find I have one that over hangs my pond .

My pond now has a permanent netting cage to stop crow predation of the fish, but also so useful to stop the apple leaves falling in the pond.

Sometimes it’s deginitely needed! I do have nextdoors cats who try to take my fish!

In the past when we were troubled by cats, I found that a low wire fence (you know the wire ones covered in a green coating), stopped cats hooking the fish out with a swipe of their paws.

I’ll have a look into this Siris! I’ve ordered a spray repellent and some plastic cat and bird spikes to go on top of the fence!
