It looks great Dan yes suprising how stong nature is for the bulbs popping up through the slate. lol you needing an excuse.

I hate lawns and grass with a passion, because ours is so boggy here! It’s only a light slate covering,as I added about 300 bulbs in this dark corner to really begbren it up!

I know the feeling Dan up until recently I had nt any grass either just two tiny ones out the front now because of leaves from next door church yard. Have you tried pushing a fork into the grass ever foot or so wiggle back and for then brush in sand and a bit of grit for drainage. .

Yes! We’ve done the sand thing, somehow all ends up still back at the lowest point of the lawn :(

Shame you have nt got a tree near that part or a plant that likes boggy ground which would take up the water.

Sounds like you need some stepping stones to get from A to B, then get rid of the grass. My grass is getting smaller and smaller, then if it has foot traffic on it gets chewed up.

We do have stepping stones too, but they pool with water in the rain as over time they’ve slightly sank
