Alpine plant from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, flowering in winter and early spring (so it's a bit early unless it knows something we don't). Needs a sunny spot and very sharp drainage.

3d - I don't think the Met Office can forecast that far ahead. Remember a few years ago when they forecast a "barbecue summer" and it rained nearly every day?
As far as I understand it, there are two things that might contribute to a cold winter. One is the jet stream, which usually sits over the UK and brings southwesterly air streams from the Atlantic. If this veers to the south, it allows colder air from the Arctic. The other is high pressure systems pulling in an easterly air flow from Siberia.
Only time will tell.

Yes I remember Andrew also remember Micheal Fish saying there was no storm coming when it did. Yes your right lets hope it is not the easterly flow east is no good for man nor beast.
