I am fleecing and bubble wrapping my tree ferns ... had my first frost this morning EEEK ....

Have fleeced all the tree ferns, we had an overnight frost, it was forecast, so we were prepared...

I hope that you succeed with your Echium. I have tried several times & lost, even when I gave them protection,now I have given up. I love them. They grow so well near the coast but not inland it seems.

As you say we shall see, depending on the severity of the winter!
