This was taken from a speeding car, on my way to an appointment in Renfrew at 7 a.m. and the sun was just risen. Minus 20 with the wind chill factor. Then three weeks after that pic was taken we had our first thaw.. plus 3 C. now it's back down in the negatories. No wonder people get sick at this time of year.

Wow gthat is cold makes you wonder how people survive does nt it. Yes you can see why people get sick it would depress me if I had to live long in such cold dull lite weather but then the cold kills the germs in the ground and more people get ill in hot countries than cold.

Everyone is getting their "flu shot"... I haven't done so in years. The "seasonal disaffective disorder" sets in for some folk around the end of Nov. and goes right on through the solstice til about mid January before we see the days lengthening again. The perennials need the cold time. The few winters we've had that have been warm and snowy have seen some of them looking weak and spindly. But after the last cracking cold one...they were pretty good this past summer.

Quite a few here won't have the flu jab as its made them very ill after having it one mans house keeper who had it it nearly killed her. After watching on you tube documentary the polio jab caused aids then the second measles jab caused meningitis I no.longer trust these vacines.
A long time then for you in dark dull days Lori I hope you get better weather there I prefer the snow to ice and cold that you have had.

So your winter has started. Do you get those viciously cold winds with the low temps?
