Although the variety 'Jacqueline Postill' is more usually grown, this is the straight species. Typically growing to eight feet, it likes a humus rich soil which retains moisture all year round, and shelter from hot sun and strong winds. Highly scented flowers are carried early in the year. New growth may be lanky and can be reduced by half, but do it no later than the end of June.
