Nice one, in your bog garden I take it

I divided it after buying, before planting, 1/2 in not-a-bog, the other 1/2 in the sunny front garden, but everywhere is soggy at the moment.

Trial going on then. I have a pink flowering one on the pond edge, plain leaves. I guess yours is more about the very attractive leaves.

It has pink flowers too, but I've not seen them yet on this young plant. I've got 3 other different Fillipendula, a yellow leaved one, white flowers, a semi double white flowers., and a plain with pink flowers.

Nice, I have the wild stuff growing too in my various 'natural' but damp areas.

Do you consider Fillipendula wild stuff? I call my rampant stuff thugs and am trying to eradicate my mistakes gradually, Acanthus, Spanish Bluebell, various Alliums.

Well I should say Meadowsweet. It's always grown wild here on the brook edges and damp ditches. I have quite a bit of space beyond the garden beds that's natural. I wish you lived closer, I'd love you to have a walk round to see the various situations I have and for you to advise me as I haphazardly go along my merry way :-)
Acanthus never goes crazy in my heavy clay or alliums although they do quite well. The only rampant things here are stinging nettles, buttercups and dock oh and hogweed and cow parsley.

Thanks for your confidence in my gardening knowhow. I don't/wouldn't want any wild type Meadowsweet, not suitable for my small garden. Since I started going annually to a stables for stable manure, I find creeping buttercup plantlets popping up were I've mulched. Try to get them out as soon as I see them.

Very attractive leaves regardless of the flowers.....

Dd, think this variety is quoted as having pink flowers.

Look forward to seeing it....

Buttercups are a pain, I had some cow manure delivered from a local farm but that had lots of grass seed.
