Woodland perennial with stems up to five feet tall. Part shade and a moist soil.

How long since this emerged, please Andrew. I knew you had one, mine hasn't come through the ground yet, seems a bit ominous. Ps have your Roscoea emerged yet?

This has only appeared in the last couple of weeks. No sign of the roscoeas yet, but it's mid June before they surface here in Bracknell. Hoping 'Red Gurkha' will be in full flower when we open on 19th August

Thank you for the information, my Polygonatum is in a very shady position, so here's hoping it appears soon. Yes Red Gurka is a cracker.

I've found it, hoorah, I moved it further back in the border last year because it grew so tall. Just the one stem though and no flowers yet.
