Do you mean they are used by artists to paint if so I can see why.

Hi, I think they are belonging to a world collection of roses, named after famous impressionism painters, like Claude Monet, Camile Pisarro, Paul Gaugin etc. The petals look like if they were striken with painterĀ“s brush.
