I haven't noticed a scent at all Lori, but I never got that close to them, blah me! I'll go out a and check.

Some are scented... some are not. I've noticed that the ones who bloom later are usually scented, but I'm not sure that's the determining factor! My hostas have become huge this year... leaves the size of dinner plates. I bought a "Hosta Collection" from Vesey's two years ago and found that some were labelled and some not... I wasn't sure which ones were early, late or sun tolerant, blue, white,green or whatever...it was hit or miss in my planting, but this being their third year they've all established well and I'll be able to divide and multiply this year... plant arithmetic! Before the collection I had Patriot and Blue Boy as well as a huge Bressingham Blue. I scattered the seed from the BB and there are small ones growing under the mature plant!

As long as you keep them well watered, hostas can handle a few hours of sun. This one isn't scented
